About Regina Joseph

For more than 30 years, my professional experience has stood at the nexus of foresight, innovation and strategy. I am a geopolitical analyst and research scientist focused on improving judgment and decision-making under conditions of high uncertainty for governments and organizations. My work has been funded by such groups as the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). I am also a technologist: I have served as a VP at companies like Sony and Liberty Global, and I've pioneered technologies, including Blender, the world's first digital magazine.

I am known as what is a Superforecaster, and I have been vetted by multiple governments on my accuracy regarding a very wide variety of subject matter and situations. My clients range from NATO, to the Netherlands' Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the US Marine Corps to the United Nations. I have a demonstrable track record of dual proficiency in both business decision-making and creative/technical product development--a valuable edge that can be put to use for WVH. My familiarity with WVH is life-long. I'm a native New Yorker, raised in the West Village, briefly lived at WVH as a subletter in the 1980s, and for the 27 years prior to moving in, I owned a townhouse adjacent to WVH on Barrow Street. I am savvy to our neighborhood, WVH, and the related circumstances and politics.

My ability to assess and forecast conditions in near-, mid- and long-range futures can be of enormous value to WVH. As I have done for private sector clients like banks or public sector organizations dealing with conflict zones, applying strategic foresight is essential for identifying coming risks, and technical nous is crucial for delivering solutions to mitigate those risks. I believe I can leverage  those skills to benefit all my fellow WVH shareholders.
